According to the BB Conference publication, the top line for BoM is due Q4 2018 (Slide 20) ?? Why is this a bold statement? ..."He stressed that the loan WOULD NOT becoming due before the top line BETonMACE data comes out....""
As things stand right now (pre-SSRA), BETonMACE is fully enrolled w/ over 2400 patients, likely close to 188 adjudicated 3-point MACE events (that will trigger the SSRA), and projected to reach the 250 target 3-point MACE events and top-line read out Q4 2018.
It is possible that the interim sample size re-estimation analysis (SSRA) results in requiring more patients to be enrolled and a larger number of target 3-point MACE events. If this happens, then it is also possible that the time to accumulate this new target number of 3-point MACE events will not occur until sometime into 2019, possibly beyond May 2019. The bookends are subject to moving right now. That is why the SSRA interim analysis is key.
