Tada, I wouldn’t disagree with much of what you said but if they knew in January 2017 what they were facing why would they update clinicatrials.gov with new unrealistic start dates only to repeatedly kick them down the road? Setting unrealistic expectations seems to be a pattern here. As far as how long current cash will take us I agree we will have a much clearer view once we know the results of the SSRA. At that point it would be really nice to get a go forward budget NR. Most public E&P players, for example, release drilling budgets as a matter of due course to keep the market informed, perhaps RVX might consider something like this to add some clarity to their situation.
I’m not sure the SSRA will trigger a partnership for BETonRenal but who knows. I would think a potential partner would want to see the actual renal related data before committing development funds. Additionally, I think a potential partner might think twice about partnering in something where the IP invested in could potentially be lost to a call on collateral.
To continue with your football analogy, yes being an armchair quarterback back is relatively easy but critically examining management activity is part of DYODD and a lot of discussion here is based on exactly that. I do imagine though that quarterbacking in the NFL would be quite a challenge without prior football experience at some other level. That might put one out of their league.
