Erbitux - owned by Eli lily - marketed in the US and Canada by BMY and outside North America by Merck KGAA. Initially developed by Imclone, which signed license agreement with Merck first, and them BMY, and then the company was acquired by Lily (all over a ten year period).
A sale can absolutely happen, and in my opinion there is no way iot would be a CVR at this late stage.
