Previous short numbers are in the post I'm replying to. Up to July 31st the number was 842,419....
I think the next update will be telling. It will be up to August 15th, so if the number is still high shorts have the rest of today and tomorrow to try and hack it down if they want....then again maybe they have already reduced it.
The US listing/Rothschild/possible consolidation news came out after the bell on July 31st and then we had the 7th DSMB report....so if the number of shares short has increased I'll take that as an indication that buying overwhelmed the supply of shares. If on the other hand short interest has dropped, then I will attribute it more to profit taking.
Of course if something big comes out today or tomorrow (before the closing bell)....then the waters get even muddier.
