noretreat - I agree that similar conditions exist today but about 5 to 10 fold better. In 2015 when you heard the story RVX would have just been getting ready to recruit their first patient or just have recruited the first patient. Today 2500 patient later with 7 DSMB statements saying no issues with safety or efficacy plus hordes of gross data reports that their scientists can make some reasonable judgements on, could suggest that the risk is dramatically reduced from the time you first heard the story. I wasn't kidding the other day when I said the short may need to change their Depends. Dropping the share price 5% in the last couple of minutes of the trading day in my mind is criminal and should be investigated.

As Bear said, having the SSRA announced could  again reduce that risk even further. We are just 4 to 6 months away from knowing if we have the next wonder drug of the world. The anticipation is insane. Do most of the posters here need to hire a Brinks truck to take them from their brokerage house to their bank or will they be lined up at the food bank? 

This is an incredible story and Don tells it very well. Actually many of the employee's of the company tell the story very well. In the many years that I have been investing I can not remember a situation that has ever had a risk/reward profile as great as what RVX has today. Many posters on this board are long timers in this story and continue to compare this share price action to what we have experienced in the past. Very little of the past can even come close to the reality that the world will see in just a few months, one way or the other. Make no mistake, if we don't hit the top line numbers we need the share price will make many of us cry. On the flip side though if we see data the reduces RRR by 30, 40, 50% plus have great numbers on CKD and Cognitive Function the likes of which no one has ever seem, those shareholders referred to above may just need a tissue to wipe the tears of joy from their cheeks, and hire a Brinks truck.

Although the stories between 2015 and now are similar there are some very dramatic differences.
