Perhaps the shorts are making some ill-advised bets. In the absence of buying, there will be selling. Not sure if there are any more near-term inflection points left to get people excited, save the upcoming conferences? They are good for increasing volume and interest to a point. Most of the significant "bets" have been made.

Have a look at AMARIN (25% MACE RRR) to see where we're likely headed. If we achieve 30% or better, it may be safe to assume AMARIN will tank and we'll skyrocket. Hopefully, we are lined up on the NASDAQ by then, although I think that will happen after top-line data is released
