Thanks to Aureus on IV for posting about this article on Diabetic Kidney Disease and BET Inhibitors. Figure 1 is a good summary. I never appreciated that BET proteins not only bind to acetylated lysines on histones, but also to the acetylated lysines on other proteins such as NFkB. 

This bromodomain/BET inhibitor story gets more interesting by the day!
