ESC just announced the late breaking clinical trial schedule. BETonMACE was not on the list. There are still two posters at ESC that were announced previously, but these are not indicative of BETonMACE full results presentation.
Mon Sept 2, 2019, 14:00: BET-inhibition with Apabetalone in Post-ACS Patients with Diabetes: Design and Baseline Characteristics of the BETonMACE trial
Tues Sept 3, 2019, 08:30: Apabetalone (RVX-208) inhibits key drivers of vascular inflammation, calcification, and plaque vulnerability through a BET-dependent epigenetic mechanism
My interpretation of the above is that we should expect full results of BETonMACE to be presented/published sometime after ESC. The below conferences are candidates for full data presentation. Top-line data could still come well before ESC or any of the other Q3/Q4 conferences.
European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD): Sept 16-20, 2019; Barcelona, Spain
Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease/Asia (CTAD Asia): October 11-12, 2019; Beijing, China
American Society for Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week: Nov 5-10, 2019; Washington, D.C.
American Heart Association (AHA): November 16-18, 2019; Philadelphia, PA
Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease (CTAD): December 4-7, 2019; San Diego, CA
In my opionion, out the the conferences above, EASD and AHA are the most likely to present full data for the primary MACE endpoint. EASD announces accepted abstract for presentation on July 1, so we'll be able to count that one in or out soon. If EASD is in play, then things could flow smoothly. Cardio/MACE data at EASD, cognition sub-study at CTAD Asia or CTAD, CKD sub-study at ASN Kidney week.
However, in my opinion we're looking at AHA in November for full cardio/MACE results being presented/published. This would also set up nicely to present the cognition sub-study at CTAD in December. Assuming AHA and CTAD for MACE and cognition presentation, what is less clear to me is when the CKD sub-study results would be presented. ASN Kidney week happens about a week prior to AHA. Would the CKD results be presented at ASN prior to the MACE results at AHA? ASN is not the best venue to present the cardio/MACE data, so I am assuming cardio/MACE would be presented at AHA and not ASN.
