I had asked about this. It seems there is an optimal size of HDL particle to maximize cholesterol efflux. The other trials boosted the wrong HDL sized particles and boosted them for too long...my understanding is that Apabetalone helps increase the optimal sized HDL ones. Just my 2 cents of understanding...
