Waaaaaay back in 2015, this brilliant prognosticator dude predicted the following....
"Looking back at how ASSURE progressed, I think data analysis/results for BETonMACE will probably take only 2-3 months. As late as 2012 09 19, Anticipated Primary Completion Date for ASSURE was listed as 2012-11. The Actual date ended up being 2013 05. Assuming similar slippage, the estimate for release of BETonMACE results I see would be mid 2019."
It's the "planning fallacy" at work. Understanding it makes it easier to figure out a more realistic estimate of time frames for studies and other complicated projects.
