You're right.
Just did a little more digging, and you can find a break down of LIXA and EXAMINE in their supplementary info.
LIXA - eGFR (mL/min/1.73m2).
[15-30] = 0.1%
[30-60] = ~23.5%
[60-90] = ~ 53.4%
[>90] = ~ 23%
EXAMINE - eGFR
[<30] = ~2.9%
[30-60] = ~26.2%
[60-90] = ~37.3%
[>90] = ~15.6%
BETonMACE has a Median of 99. Thus 50% are > 99, which is far healthier than any of those trials. Furthermore, the company has stated that 30 < 11% < 60. Which means 39% are between 99 and 60.
BETonMACE - eGFR
[<30] = 0%
[30-60] = ~11%
[60-99] = ~39%
[>99] = ~50%
As you can clearly see, BETonMACE patients have much better kidney health than one would expect. Especially at such a late age, having had a Heart Attack, and type two diabetes.
Kidney eGFR does not matter that much for MACE outcomes until you fall below 60 threshold, where it picks up a lot of steam. More information on that in Figure 1a in this link.
