Message: When to expect the 250th Event

Thanks for the info Pomp.

"I was told in the last week or so that the BETonMACE trial had passed over 230 MACE"

Hmmmmm. Exactly 2 weeks ago management communicated in their BIO CEO presentation that 3-point MACE accumulation stands at over 220. Yes, "over 220" is ambiguous. How much over 220 were they at 14 days ago? Hard to believe that that number jumped from 220 to 230 in 14 days. So if Pomp's info is correct then they must have been well beyond 220 at BIO CEO on February 12th.

" and that the company expected to hit 250 sometime in early June."

That guidance is somewhat consistent with the BIO CEO guidance of last dosing expected H1 2019. However, given that management previously predicted to hit 250 events 55 days ago and now are predicting to hit 250 events over 5 months beyond that previous prediction........I take any current estimation/expectiation with a big grain of salt now! Not long now until the mid-March Roth conference and BIO-Europe at end of March (see events list here). Plus new MD&A should be out mid-March. We'll see what kind of MACE numbers and trial milestone timeline guidance they provide then. If it does indeed take until early June 2019 to hit 250 events (which I think triggers end of dosing), then assuming a 2-3 month adjudication period (safety follow up can occur simultaneously, per Sarah) this puts top-line expectations in the August to September range. And full data presentation would be in play for the following in 2019:

European Society of Cardiology (ESC) August 31 to Sept 4, 2019; Paris, France

Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease/Asia  (CTAD Asia) September 13-14, 2019; Beijing, China

European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD): Sept 16-20, 2019; Barcelona, Spain

American Society for Nephrology (ASN) Kidney Week Nov 5-10, 2019; Washington, D.C.

American Heart Association (AHA) November 16-18, 2019; Philadelphia, PA

Clinical Trials on Alzheimer's Disease (CTAD) December 4-7, 2019; San Diego, CA
