As of March 19 2018 we are fully enrolled in the BETonMACE trial and enrollment started Nov 11 2015 or about 3 1/2 years earlier.

So as of 1 year we are at 2400 * 1 = 2400 patient years (from Mar 2018 - Mar 2019)

Let's say the year before was half that = 1200 * 1 = 1200 patient years for Mar 2017 - Mar 2018)

Let's say half that again for previous year = 600 * 1 = 600  patient years for Mar 2016 - Mar 2017.

Let's say one quarter that for the first half year = 150 * 1 = 150 patient years for Nov 2015 - Mar 2016

So 2400 + 1200 + 600 + 150 = 4350 patient years,... and counting in April 2019 (add 200 every month after  March 2019),.. (very very approximate)

So if we use 7.87 MACE events per 100 patient years for the placebo group;

4350 / 2 = 2175 patient years for placebo group

2175 / 100 = 21.75 100 patient years

21.75 * 7.87 = 171 placebo group MACE events.

250 - 171 = 79 treated group MACE events

or 53% RRR

This is a very approximate calculation using MANY asumptions,...and probaly wrong!

But my guestimate for RRR is 53%
