Just tossing a few things out there in terms of what we know and what we don’t.....IMO.
In light of this public offering (PO) we know that the company is not aware, in any way, that the P3 trial has failed (the legalities involved are obvious). Also, the SP has stabilized at current levels in line with what one might expect given news of the PO.....a SP haircut but not much more.
We know that the major shareholders are not interested in putting more money into RVX if the market can do it instead.
In light of this PO there is no BP presently in the wings waiting to scoop up RVX in advance of topline. Otherwise why bother with the offering.
There is no ‘anchor’ investor(s) in this PO otherwise they would have gone private. Also major investors would want to know the terms up front, not in a public PR.
There is no guarantee that the offer will proceed if it ends up being undersubscribed....whatever that definition entails.
News of this PO is unwelcome, except perhaps for those willing/able to take advantage of it......and of course then only if trial results are successful. It only dilutes the stock further and wipes out any gains made in the past few weeks.....which doesn’t matter if you’re in it for the long haul....but it’s a drag nonetheless.
And finally, I think mid-July or thereabouts can’t come soon enough.
