The world wide CKD market is about 6X's the diabetic CVD market which is estimated at $12 to $15 billion. If we are able to show a reasonable increase in the eGFR with few or no significant safety issues we will own that market for a time. There is only one drug that I have heard of that reasonably increases eGFR but that comes with genital problems for some patients of both sexes. Your $1 billion/year drug comment seems excessively conservative.
