The news release states:

"Late-2019 and beyond – full outcomes, pre-specified endpoint data, safety results, and clinical implications are expected to be reported and published"

It is quite common for cardiovascular outcomes trials to first present/publish the primary outcome data, but to subsequently present/publish subgroup analyses (i.e. rosuvastatin vs. atorvastatin), sub-studies (i.e. CKD and cognition), and other pre-specified and non-pre-specified analyses at a later date. So the "and beyond" part of the statement is not surprising at all. 

What is ambigous is the "Late-2019" for full outcomes. The two meetings that I consider likely for presenting BETonMACE full outcomes are ESC 2019 (end of August/beginning of September 2019) and AHA 2019 (November 16-18, 2019). Both ESC and AHA fall into the ambigous "late 2019" description, in my opinion.

The timing is rather tight, but I still think it is possible that BETonMACE presents full data for the primary outcome at ESC 2019. The submission deadline for the late breaking clinical trials was May 21, 2019. Mid-June 2019 an email will be sent to each submitter and assigned presenter announcing whether the applicant has received a Late-Breaking presentatioon slot. Keep your eyes on this ESC Press Conference Schedule for the announced Hot Line presentations. I tried looking back at past ESCs for when this schedule is announced. Sometimes, late June. Other times, late July maybe even early August. So it could be a perfect set up for top-line data announcement and then shortly thereafter announcment of a Late Breaking Trial presentation at ESC. Like I said, kind of tight timeline. Not impossible. I don't think EASD does late breaking abstracts; those abstracts were due April 1, 2019. So I am assuming EASD is off the table for full data. Looking at the 2019 potential events, if full data is not presented at ESC 2019, then AHA 2019 is the next likely in my opinion.
