Not even close to the point I made in my post. There were only 14 total 5-point MACE events in the diabetic patients from the pooled Phase 2 ASSURE/SUSTAIN analysis. 9 in the placebo. 5 in the diabetes group (see here and here). That is an extremely small number of observation to base a conclusion on. A better statement than yours above is that a better powered trial should be able to determine if there is a REAL difference between the placebo and apabetalone groups, or if the effects observed in the Phase 2 post-hoc analyses were more of a false postive observed by chance due to the low number of observations.
