Message: Will we see 5 point MACE reduction results in BETONMACE

BDAZ - There is absolutely no question that much more time and money would be required to move ABL forward if they miss on top line. When Pfizer came out with the results of the drug they now call Viagra, the particular side effect that it is now famous for made many investors stand up stiffly, and consider alternatives for drugs that are safe and provide potential multi billion dollar opportunities that could be sustained for much longer than previously thought possible at that time.

Canada just announced their National Dementia Initiative yesterday. The federal government said that there is 500k people in our nation living with this problem. This number in extremely close in percentage terms to the experience in the USA. This is a serious problem for every country in the world as these patients require 24/7 care at some point. Science has been wonderful at developing drugs to keep us alive longer. The longer we live the more other situations become prevalent in larger numbers, like cancer and dementia. If we happened to "stumble" upon a side effect that there is a massive and growing need to treat I think there is a reasonable opportunity to make lemonade with what might otherwise have been a lemon. This is a worldwide problem that does not appear to have any solution at this time.

On the CKD side there is not much out there that increases kidney function...safely. This is an absolutely massive potential market, much much bigger than the diabetic CVD market.

"Quite a stir" may be over stating the potential but "a stir for sure".
