You should call up Fidelity and get more details. Ask how many shares Fidelity is looking to short...where is the short seller originating from (retail or institutional?). And why are they willing to offer such a high yield?
This is decidedly odd. I am assuming that since data lock has not yet happened, no one knows anything yet. Still, why would someone want to short so close to results?
