Schwab tried me as well a while back and share price was around 1.20 ish

i turned them down as I figured somebody is short and failing to make a delivery and cant unless they buy in the open market. 

Share price went up sharply soon after.

May be DM has loan and financing done and shorts cant get in on the deal to cover : we will know soon enough !
