I don't recall any deal whatsoever between Resverlogix and The Medicines Company. The only connection I know of between Resverlogix and The Medicines Company is that some of the same lead clinicians are involved or have been involved in Resverlogix clinical trials (including BETonMACE) and some of the MDCO ORION trials. Of note, Dr. Kausik Ray is both the lead investigator of BETonMACE as well as the lead investigator of ORION-11, which stunned folks at ESC this weekend for Inclisiran safety and efficacy. Dr. Ray is a busy man. He is also involved in some of Esperion's CLEAR studies for bempedoic acid, among many other clinical projects. I'm actually glad that nothing HUGE related to BETonMACE was revealed at ESC......Dr. Ray may have had a heart attack himself. He was busy enough with presentations and media attention related to ORION-11. BETonMACE attention may have pushed him over the edge!
