Message: What's in a name?

I've pondered this a few times over the past decade but never posted nor have I seen anyone comment.

Given that the name Resverlogix is based on the name of the vitamin Resveratrol and that Apabetalone is a product of the science of that vitamin, (unless I'm grossly mistaken), do you suppose we've been taken much less seriously than if we had a cooler name?  I mean, it's just a vitamin, right? (until proven otherwise)

"What a stupid name!  Who do they think they're kidding!?  I'd never invest in that name!"

Would Amarin have done as well if it were called Omegathreearin?...or Fishoilarin?

I think Rotorooterlogix, (DM years ago called Apabetalone Roto-Rooter for the heart on BNN) or Gonnacurewhatailsyalogix may have been better choices.  Maybe Calogix? ;)

Things that make you go hmmm....or not.  Ya, it's late and I'm overtired...forgive my musing.

Any day now...

GLTA
