Alas it’s not so simple. If Resverlogix were to break the embargo, the investigators (i.e., the academics) would not get their papers on BETonMACE accepted by the top journals, or their presentations about the study accepted for the most important congresses. That would be a career disaster for them. The knock-on would be that Resverlogix will have severely damaged its reputation within the academic community.
The immediate fall-out might be that the AHA would cancel the BETonMACE late-breaking trials presentation, as the company and authors will have broken tbe rules, and then everyone would suffer, of course, including investors.
As they said, 6 weeks is not long to wait.
