I'm not a trader and I really don't understand the intimacies of options, RSUs, shorts, etc but I'm learning and get the drift in general, I think.
As I understand options as a tool they are designed as an incentive to promote effort, commitment and loyalty toward the company and to get those involved to put some "skin in the game" at a low relative risk.
Perhaps Dr Wong forgot? Perhaps he doesn't care? I remember years ago on SH reading numerous posts pointing out that nobody at RVX management has any of their own money in this game.
Anyway, from my limited understanding, I find it disturbing that someone of Dr Wong's intimate level of knowledge about BET inhibition and apabetalone did not step up to the plate with a few of his own bucks even earlier when the share price was higher. It suggests that he may understand the high risk of failure and the gap between the results of positive signs from biomarkers and the end game i.e. reduced MACE in this case of BoM on a highly targetted patient population that seemed optimized for a successful trial.
Of course had he exercised some options and sold shares it certainly would have given out some alarm signals to me.
Oh well, thats the way science works. I'm long. No point in selling.
