The "process" is necessary for evidence that a company uses for marketing, detailing, selling to the community of healthcare practitioners that will actually sell the "product" ... the support of academia and the clinical thought leaders (KOL's) is vital. So, there is value and selfish reasons for the companies (RVX and future BP's) to want a solid process as well. Selling on foundational proven impunable science, studies, data, and key opinions.

It also lays solid foundation for continuing R&D in these areas with other compounds, and for getting support to do so.
