I may be wrong, of course, but when you consider the gamble that BP recently took with one highly controversial approach to CVD prevention, namely CETP inhbitors (which many academic scientists correctly predicted from the very outset were doomed to failure), it would be staggering if BP is not impressed by this data set. For such a potential blockbuster. it would not make sense to get excited over at P=0.05 and have no interest at P=0.06.
