I agree that noncompliance (for both statins and apabetalone) may be a factor in the high LDL group lack of response but I don't think it can be the entire answer. The level of noncompliance in the high LDL group may have been higher than the level in the low LDL group, but it would have to been about 80% or higher to erase a 40% risk reduction.
