BETonMACE just missed hitting statistical significance for the primary 3-point MACE outcome because it was powered for a 30% RRR. Most likely, with more patients and more events, BETonMACE would have hit the primary outcome. In hindsight, they should have done the sample size re-estimation analysis, taken the statistical penalty, and added more patients and events.
