I don’t know for sure, but I think it’s unlikely.

I imagine they’ve decided to do the measurements because, although the clinical data on cognitive function were encouraging, they were not strong enough to demonstrate unequivocal benefit.

Assays have been developed for types of beta amyloid in blood which are strong indicators of the presence of AD. To my knowledge they are currently only research procedures in academic labs, but that should not be a problem. 

Positive blood tests might be critical to secure the interest of an undecided BP that is sitting on the fence.
