Bear and Cityslicker99 have a good explanation for this, IMHO...and yes, the FDA knows everything already.

Recall that the FDA will take every drug application and vet it by asking independent experts what they think of the data presented to the FDA.  This requires the data to be publicly available for all to comment.  Only after the data is presented in the NFK conference, will these experts be able to give their opinion.

But clearly, if the eGFR data is indeed "Holy Mackarel" (to quote Bear), then yes, a second BTD is almost in the bag.  But as noted by Cityslicker99, the title of the presentation at the conference is odd.  So I think we need to hold our horses till the data is public.
