So far I have not seen any evidence of apabetalone having anti-viral activity. All I have seen is the HIV related research showing that apabetalone can reverse latent cell reservoirs of HIV and make them accessible to anti-viral agents. Of course, some of the secondary side effects of viral infection with other viruses, including Covid19, may be ameliorated by apabetalone. However, I know of no evidence that apabetalone has any primary anti-viral activity. Maybe it does, but not evidence has been shown yet.
