I think you are confusing the different BRD proteins (BRD1, 2, 3 and 4) with the two domains within each protein (BD1 and BD2).  Apabetalone is quite specific for the BD2 domain within all of the BRD proteins, but it is not specific for BRD2 as far as I know.  Unfortunately, the nomenclature associated with these proteins is confusing,
