Actually what (or who) will get us through this are:

1. The physicians and nurses in the front line, exposing themselves to the virus on a daily basis.
2. The biotechnologists and medicinal chemists in the labs, who are going to find the vaccines and drugs.
3. The volunteers who are going to be the first to have the experimental vaccines.

They are all heroes, as they were with Ebola.
