"Come on Bear how ya hunkering down? Thoughts on the virus?"
Myself and the family (and dog and cats) are doing fine. Fortunately in a state that is not a hot zone yet, so for now it's calm and quiet relative to some other places. Schools closed, both wife and I working from home now, doing my best to maintain physical distancing, got plenty of food and TP, got some shows and movies to catch up on. Can't complain, since we're all in the same boat.
As for the Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin study........as Cityslicker99 pointed out that study was small, open label and not a randomized controlled trial. Still much work to do clinically to prove reproducibility on its effectiveness. Plus, do some research on those drugs and they have some nasty side effects and are contra-indicated for many conditions. So a big safety hurdle to overcome too. Far from a home run. Maybe some potential there, but still a lot to prove. But don't listen to me.....listen to the MDs. I am not an MD and not an infectious disease expert.
