You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
Not sure, but probably a difference between funding through share purchases versus an insider or designated insider loaning or otherwise funding the company.
I don't think insider status prevents the kind of funding or maybe even loan suggested, when no ownership change or stock trade takes place.
