In email I asked Don McCaffrey if new Phase 3 would include patients with diabetes.

His reply: Regarding your Type II Diabetes question, all of the patients in BETonMACE 2 will be diabetes. One of the reasons that diabetes are more susceptible to Covid 19 is that Covid uses the ACE 2 receptor to enter human cell’s.  Diabetes patients  and other sick people have more ACE 2 receptors than healthy people.  We do believe that we will have a Covid -19 impact for the ACE 2 reason as well as the BRD4 relationship to the virus as well.

Bear, DM's answer might help with one of your questions.  Reduce BRD4, ACE2 and even more benefits with one pill, a winner, we hope so.

If you own shares in RVX, you continue to believe.  Apabetalone is not a singular drug.  We have been continually amazed with all the test results (missing the end point too), and disappointed in the time to FDA approval (a very long wait for some, me).  Remember, it has been a learning period for RVX too.  The light is getting brighter.
