Nice move today for sure. Personally as I've said before I think the science is very promising. Just look at what has been reported regarding Apabetalone and also the number of truly world class scientists that continue to stay around this company, many of whom have more opportunities than they can commit to and still they choose to stay with RVX.

In the market I think there are probably a number of participants who are very aware of the promise/potential of the science but are not willing to commit capital to the stock until they see a clear path forward. I know one individual who manages money who will not buy any RVX right now but who would happily pay substantially more than current price if a good, solid deal was in place with a BP. I doubt they are alone. RVX management has not been good but if a path forward with a BP was in place someone who manages money could then reasonably justify the risk, right now no way. Just do the math. We have all seen the articles of what just BTD is worth in market cap (usually for obviously viable companies).  Excluding value for other indications or compounds, if RVX announced a deal that was a 50:50 split of future Apabetalone revenue with a BP in return for the commitments as per option 1 I think it would be reasonable to expect the RVX market cap to start to appreciate towards half of BTD value. The articles I have read have suggested that BTD is on average worth $4-8BUSD in market cap. That could potentially put RVX moving towards roughly the $12-24CAN range. This could make even a $4-5CAN/sh investment an attractive risk, again only if credible outside management (ie BP) is involved and paying.

Additionally, I think that a BP deal might attract some quality analysts to the stock.  For the last few years RVX has been a financial train wreck imo and I can't imagine how a reputable analyst could have recommended the stock because of this.  A clear financial path forward might alleviate this problem.

Personally I would guess that RVX could probably do better than a 50:50 split but here's hoping for option 1!
