CCD I think you have converted SF in believing that RVX still holds some promise. 

SF: "I actually think it's likely that someone will step in to fund another trial.   But much less likely that such an occurrence if it happens will provide a "get rich quick" pathway for beleaguered and often ignored retail shareholders.  I hope I'm wrong as I'd love to get rich quick on this one.  But it's possible to fund a trial while limiting the payoff to retail investors.   Why over pay?"
