Message: Leading From Behind

SF99, you wrote: "What's their detailed plan to turn this dog around?"

Management already answered that question: They are negotiating with pharmaceutical companies to have them co-develop RVX208. But, hey, what are the d-e-t-a-i-l-s (trying to avoid all caps writing).

That question is bound to be met with a "we cannot reveal any details at this stage" type of answer. And why is it that they cannot reveal any details? To answer that, ask yourself the following question: How do you think a negotiation partner (ie. a pharmaceutical company) would react if the CEO of the company with whom they were negotiating disclosed any details?

I'll help you:

If DM discloses the details of who they were talking to and what their negotiation partner was offering, the negotiations would likely come to an abrupt end. That kind of information is covered by confidentiality agreements. Outcome for retail shareholders: Disaster.

If DM discloses details on what he thinks is realistic to achieve in the negotiations, he would be stuck between a stock market that can hold him accountable for overpromising, and a negotiating partner that knows that they should definitely not pay more that what DM had disclosed. Outcome for retail shareholders: Not good.

Bottom line, you do not reveal details to the public when negotiating.

Now, SF99, please stop bashing management over and over again for not giving more details, you now know why they cannot and should not do so.

Thanks,

BKC
