Thanks as always RVXOT.
For what it is worth here are the investors in Repare Therapeutics after their phase 2 private offering before they went public at $20USD on NASDAQ after 4 years from being founded.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. & MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Repare Therapeutics, a precision oncology company targeting specific vulnerabilities of tumors in genetically defined patient populations, announced today the completion of a US$82.5 million Series B financing.
Cowen Healthcare Investments led the financing and was joined by new investors OrbiMed, Redmile, BVF Partners L.P. and Logos Capital. Founding investor Versant Ventures and existing investors MPM Capital, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, and BDC Capital all participated.
If you then examine these companies and the BOD formed pre IPO you will see it is full of previous BP execs, CRISPR execs, McKinnsey people specializing in biotech and people that are globally connected in the BP world.
This strikes me as an entirely different world than the sphere that RVX operates within. Just an impression because I don't know Don or anyone at RVX but I get the impression that RVX is a relatively unknown, small time player on a Canadian exchange that the successful biotechs seem to avoid in favour of the NASDAQ.
I'm really enjoying the thoughtful posts but I'm getting an impression (which I fully agree with) that the exuberance we felt a couple of months ago is quickly fading and on Dec 22 Don will be hiding behind his COVID protected, 1 way presentation telling us "and we are really excited about that" one more time.
It strikes me as unbelievable that the "leading edge biotech" in epigenetics and CVD and BTD is priced <$1 CDN.
Sure hope I'm wrong but if history provides us with any knowledge my bets are that Don will slink out of this one more time with no deal.
No regrets. I took the risk and that is fine and the science may still succeed at some point in spite of the management. I'm buying what I can afford at these prices.
I'd love to see liquidity at Zenith but I've lost hope on that as well.
