Lots of great deals in Biotech this year but were they facing recruitment of a huge Ph3 trial during a pandemic? (Mazola)
If the strategy on final negotiations and the pursuant announcement is to now wait until they can start recruitment again, we could be waiting for a “long” time! Based on the vaccination targets I’ve seen, USA by the third quarter, Canada by the fourth? Israel might be ready earlier, but if you look at the surveys being done, a good percentage is not very eager to be vaccinated there either. So, how realistic are the government targets? And, how many months after that for BOM2 trial design and getting the sites ready? Or, is everything ready to go once the deal is inked?
Surely Don and his team should have known all of this when Don made these comments on September 10th. To have made them, and then set your AGM for three days before Christmas...any wonder that people are venting?
Don: The status is excellent. We have multiple partner partners we’re discussing in multiple different formats. And I can say as of yesterday I’m very pleased with where we are and with how fast this is moving. We will see activity before the end of the year.
Don: Three years from now we expect to be an extremely large global player. I think you’ll see the advancement towards that towards the end of this year as we move into partnership with a major pharma. And the development of this company is straight up from this point.
