Message: Oral small-molecule drugs as Antivirals

Is an antiviral same as a therapeutic?

I am not a scientist, and I hope someone more qualified steps in with a better analysis or explanation, but no they are not the same, but it looks like apabetalone is both!

an antiviral: ACE2 inhibition makes cell entry difficult, and other intra-cell protein regulation makes viral replication difficult,
and,

a therapeutic: according to this latest news on muscle damage reversal in organoids from QIMR Berghofer researchers.  The researcher cleary said the negative effects of Coivd-19 were "reversed" (by apabetalone).
