"I'm hardly a scientist but as I understand it, HIV fuses with the lipid membrane of CD4/Helper T cells. This is a different process than a spike protein using ACE2 to enter the cell as in the case of COVID-19, which latter process is (potentially) inhibited by RVX-208 in addition to reducing ACE2 expression generally.
