NBB ... short answer: no clue
Perhaps:
BP sees a cash strapped company, with theoretical drugs, but no imminent revenues, and no proven substance, that they will take if they can steal it? Or, wait it out also for greater desperation?
Who knows? ... or maybe RVX has been offered $2-4b but believes the eventually proven Covid, cardio, renal, PAH, Fabrey, etc benefits will eventually make RVX a $10-30b company, and is willing to hold out with money continually limping in (from promises) till more "proof is in the pudding" and available for leverage for demanding a minimum of $8-10b? ... for all I know, RVX could see apabetalone as a super anti-inflammatory that someday sits on shelves in every home as the newly formulated super-NSAID or super-aspirin??
I would still love to know the estimated RVX present & projected future valuations from the Sheik's recent strategic financial accounting research.
It bothers me just a bit that there are increasing blocks of holdings that can strongly influence (if not control) RVX decision making, and some of them could "pottentially" be opposed to certain deals or BPs.
But, I am sticking with the belief that those current key investors are booth knowledgable and are greedy (like me), and want a significant ROI and end game soon ... and hopefully they keep confidently (from their front row seats) pouring in more funds as needed toward that end.
jmho ... and/or maybe wishful thinking??
