Not sure how long she was ill, but completely agree with the sentiments above. If going through this and caring for her and the rest of the family through this passage added to any delays or sloppiness in talks, negotiations, or anything he has been criticized for in recent months, that would be totally understandable and we shoud cut him some slack.
