I almost think if this is the way the FDA is thinking that it might support the idea of RVX partnering with a big "name" BP player (I think BI/Lilly - Jardiance - would be perfect) and start lobbying the FDA for initiating the use of Apabetalone for heart failure and kidney function with a concurrent, very large follow on trial. The data would seem to very strongly suggest that Apabetalone could significantly help these very large patient groups, the drug is safe AND this could help ease the financial burdens on medical systems around the world. I think the financial savings angle might actually gain traction if approached properly by a large pharma with people who really know what they are doing with the FDA. Just a thought.
