Koo,

As DM told forem (I think?) biotechs are not sold, but bought.  It's up to BP to pull the trigger and make an offer that changes all future plans.

Of course he's talking about plans to take this all the way, alone.  Who would possibly take the company seriously if, at this stage, he said "we're just doing enough to keep the lights on and look reputable, hoping someone will make us a good enough offer to quit"?

As for your previous comment to Toinv about "humble pie", I completely disagree. Everyone will stop talking about DM's repeated missed goals and oversells if this company hits the big score, but that won't equal "humble pie". It will just be a cash-induced, satisfied silence. Cash buys you lots of forgiveness, and forgetfulness.

Humble pie would be: "Gee, I was sure wrong. Turns out Don was really hitting those goals all along, and we were just too dim to see it".

Contented silence would be: "Wow, bumpy ride, but gotta give him credit for pulling off the improbable.  Happy trails Don."

Humble pie ain't happening.

If humble pie was true, we would all cross our fingers and hope he doesn't retire, but instead points us to another biotech adventure where we can follow him with our new RVX windfall (doesn't that sound nice? RVX windfall!).

How about it, Koo? You want to invest in another company led by DM from start to finish?
