I agree Tada, I am no expert but I would assume that exclusion is to prevent those that are too far gone from hurting the results statistically and perhaps this also as you said offers a better apples to apples comparison with other trials. Again, no expert just my guess.  

One would hope that if the trial gains positive traction that Apabetalone might very soon start finding its way to those patients in desperate need. I agree that from what we have been told thus far Apabetalone could be able to very quickly help them. Don has said the effect should be very rapid but who knows if he really knows what he is talking about. Would rather have heard this from Dr. Wong or one of the other scientists.  It would stand to reason that eventually showing strong effect on cytokine storm would be the quickest route to Apabetalone gaining differentiation from other therapeutics.
