golf, you may not be able to return the borrowed shares on time to close the deal while you wait for a Private Placement, and then again to participate in a Private Placement (if timed properly) needs to be in the thousands of shares. And the share price in a Private Placement can easily end up much higher that could seriously wipe out any profits you make shorting the stock in the first place. I don't think your scenario would apply for RVX.
