The people being admitted to ICUs now are all anti-vaxxers.  If they didn't want to take the vaccine then why would they want to take something that, in their minds, regulates their genetic code or DNA?  Maybe it's simply a case of thanks but no thanks and I'll take my chances to try and recover normally.

Once the anti-vax folks are in the hospital, a lot of them regret not getting the vaccine.  Given the good safety record, and if apabetalone demonstrates a high level of efficacy, I suspect most of them will be frightened enough to give a go.
